Scope of Work
- Selectively remove existing fibre optic cable from pathways in the tunnels between Churchill and Health Sciences
- Supply and install upwards of 20km of fibre optic cable in the LRT tunnels for three end users (LRT, IT, UofA)
- Subcontracted an electrical company for installing 2” conduit at track and concourse levels to complete specific cabling pathways
- Subcontract a coring and scaffolding company for a penetration between concourse and track level
- Co-ordinate work shifts, LRT track equipment use, and traction power shut down schedules with LRT operations personnel
- Acted as general contractor directly to the City for the duration of the project
- Performed all splicing, terminations, and testing of installed fibre optic cable
- Maintained QA/QC standards for all work performed
